Reply Mail
The cost of the registered mail service is paid by the recipient. This saves work for the sender and significantly increases the likelihood of the mail being sent.
Service description
In order for the user (addressee of the shipment) to use the "Reply Mail" service, they must have concluded an "Agreement on the Provision of Domestic Returnable Mail Services" with Czechia. In this case, the price for the service is not paid by the sender, but by the addressee. In addition to other prices for the item posted, a surcharge is added for the Reply Mail service:
- CZK 4 for letter mail
- CZK 5 for parcel mail (CZK 4.13 without VAT).
The service cannot be combined with other ČP supplementary services.
The service can be used, for example, for:
- complaints about goods
- research and surveys
- companies that exchange shipments with their partners or branches, etc.

Address side - editing
The image shows a sample of the address side of a reply envelope in the most commonly used "postcard" format. The back side is entirely at your disposal – questionnaires, surveys, consumer competitions, etc.
The price for a reply envelope is CZK 4 for letter mail and CZK 5 for parcel mail (CZK 4.13 excluding VAT for services subject to VAT) plus the basic price.
Agreement on the Provision of Registered Mail
The agreement includes:
for domestic Standard Mail:
- a sample return envelope submitted by the user and approved by ČP
for domestic Registered Mail – returnable:
- uživatelem předložený a ČP schválený vzor adresní strany
for Parcel to Hand - returnable, domestic Isured Parcel - returnable and EMS Shipment - returnable:
- address label supplied by ČP - returnable shipment
- For the ČP address label, the user fills in the specified information in the pre-printed fields or ČP fills them in based on mutual agreement
For Insured letters, only special packaging sold by ČP may be used. The user shall stamp this packaging with an indelible stamp with the note “REGISTERED MAIL – CHARGES PAID BY THE ADDRESSEE” and the agreement number (for the provision of registered mail services):……………
In the Agreement, the user (addressee of the shipment) undertakes to accept all registered mail received and to pay for it according to the price list. Together with the request, the user shall submit three copies of the address label to their local post office.
